LCNTInc has come to be known, euphemistically, as 'The RocK Club' to its members, their friends and a network of people associated with the organisation in various ways. In the main, this is due to the social networks that have evolved around 'the club' since the organisation was founded in 1966.
With LCNTInc's impending move the group's 'branding' is important in regard to reimagining itself in a new location – a new place, a new space. Within 'the club' and its networks there is an enormous range people with skills and experience without which the impending change would be overwhelming and daunting.
However, that is far from the case and a recent 'skills audit' identifies people with skills and experience as builders and construction workers, electricians, plumbers, welders, mechanics etc. etc. Along with this comes their individual networks all which has placed in the position of strength it enjoys.
What 'the club' lacks now is a premise with secure tenure!
Looking ahead, with a secure premise 'the club' would well placed to explore new horizons. Nevertheless, it is already doing so having recently receiving a $10,000 to enable the club' to better serve disabled people.
As is the way of the world one thing leads to another an thus the club' is as always on an optimistic trajectory towards achieving new thing in new ways.
